In our quest to continually improve, we also annually deploy the Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) Patient Safety Culture Survey so that we can better foster a culture of patient safety in our facilities.

To keep this focus top of mind, a national board of physicians representing multiple specialties provides expert advice on surgical trends – from implants to processes – while also reviewing and reinforcing SCA Health’s culture of patient safety. This board connects with local surgery center physician leaders to communicate expectations for SCA Health’s high standards of care.
